Synthesis and Polarization Spectrum of CuCo Alloy Nanowire Arrays in Porous Alumina Template

Highly ordered porous anodic aluminum oxide (PAA) membranes were prepared by electrochemical method. By alternating current electrodepositing, CuCo alloy nanowire arrayswere fabricated in the porous alumina template in a mixed electrolyte of CuSO4 and CoSO4. The microstructures of PAA and nanowire arrays were characterized by XRD and TEM. The results show that the CuCo nanowire arrays get uniform and regular with a preferredcrystal face (111) during growing. And the transmission and polarization spectrum have indicated that the sample have good transmittance and extinction ratio. Co-Cu alloy can change some characteristics of the simple metal, for example, Co.Cu/PAA has better extinction ratio in near infrared waveband than Cu/Al2O3.
