Studying on The Surface Modification Technologies and Mechanism of Hydroxyapatite Nanorod with Silane Coupling Agent
Nano-hydroxyapatite(HAP)reinforced polymer composites, one of the most hopeful bone analogue materials, have become the focal points of the research on embedding materials. It is obvious that nano-HAP particles with good properties must be synthetized firstly for the preparation of the compatible and osteoconductive composites mimicking the structure of nature bone. Before The high density polyethylene (HDPE) composites reinforced with HAP nanorods have been successfully prepared through mechanical commixing technology. Nanoparticles filling is one of the methods to manufacture polymer nanomaterials. Owning to the high surface-to-volume ratio and high surface activity of nanoparticles, however, they are inclined to get clustered. So the surface modification of the nanostructured particles must be investigated in order to improve the their distribution in polymer composites. The effects and mechanism of Several different silane coupling agent(KH550、KH560、KH570、ZH1102)are discussed in this paper respectively.
