LOW TEMPERATURE COMBUSTION SYNTHESIS OFα-Fe2O3 NANOPARTICLES AND ITS CHARATERIZATION
The nanocrystalline α-Fe2O3 was prepared successfully by the reaction of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with ferric nitrate in low temperature combustion synthesis. The nanocrystalline α-Fe2O3 were investigated experimentally by XRD,SEM,TEM. The results showed that the products particle edges are smooth and in uniform particle size distribution with full reaction of combustion, and the products present red granular substances. Thus, the products got from phenanthroline at 150℃are calcined at 450℃for 2 h so as to obtain nanocrystalline α-Fe2O3 . By TEM,XRD and Clouter N4 Plus Submicron Sizer for particle size, the grain size is measured in the range from 20 nm to 50 nm..
