Fabrication and Study on the Annealing Effects of 3D Photonic Crystals in Visible Light Range
In this paper, we present rapid layer々layer self-assemble three dimensional photonic crystals on quartz substrates using TEOS as material based on the improved Stober method and the vertical deposition technique. The colloidal solution contains uniform mono-dispersed SiO2 sphere about 235 nm in diameter observed by TEM. The surface and the across profile of the photonic crystals are investigated by SEM,it shows that the photonic crystals is closed packing as face central cubic in the way of (111) facet The transmission /reflectance spectrum of the sample shows a very deep transmission valley/reflectance peak located at 534 nm, indicating that the photonic crystals has a large photonic band gap in the visible wavelength range. We have further studied the thermal effects of photonic band gap (PBG), it is found that the PBG shifts towards high photonic energy direction with the annealing changes from 200-1000 ℃.
