Effect of Substrate on Mechanical Properties of Nanocrystalline Fe3Al Prepared by Aluminothermic Reaction
Nanocrystalline Fe3Al materials were prepared by aluminothermic reaction on the different thickness of substrates that is from 5mm to 15mm and the tests of normal temperature compression and hardness were carried out. The results show that the yield strength and hardness reach maximum value when the thickness of substrate is 5mm .With the thickness of substrate increasing ,the yield strength and hardness are markedly decreased and lastly become uniform.
