Discussion on lightning protection and grounding technologies for Extra-high voltage substation’s secondary and tertiary facilities
conceming on invading paths of lightning into the main control building of the extra-high voltage substation and its hazards, corresponding lightning protections including external and internal protection ought to be used for the main control building’s secondary(relay protection) and tertiary(communicate, automatic system and computer control network system) facilities. External lightning protection is the protection for the building located with secondary and tertiary facilities. Internal lightning protection includes shielding, equipotential connection, common grounding system, over-voltage protection and generic cabling etc..
