Investigation and Analysis of Fault Occurrence in Distribution Network of Changsha
The distribution network of Changsha Electric Power Corporation (CEPCO) has witness quite great progress during past decade. In order to give a comprehensive performance evaluation of the retrofit and construction of the distribution network from the view point of fault occurrence, fault statistic over past seven years are investigated and the major cause of the fault lead to interruption of service are analyzed firstly in the paper. Since most fault are not evenly distributed over time and location, the distribution feature of short circuit fault are analyzed in detail using operation and fault data of past seven years. Thereafter, some possible countermeasures are proposed to improve our service correspondingly. Since the countermeasures focus on most notable timing and location of the fault, they are expected to achieve most output with least effort.
