A New Thermal Turbine Governing System Model Including Unit Plant Coordinated Control System
Since the Coordinated Control System (CCS) of unit plant is an upper controller for turbine governing system. It is necessary to include CCS in modeling turbine governing system used in power system dynamic simulation. Firstly, this paper moderately simplifies CCS model and key components are hold. A new thermal turbine governing system is developed including these key components of CCS. Secondly, the new governing system model is set up in PSASP by its self-defined modeling function, and by this self-defined turbine governing system model we investigate generator active power output response under different primary frequency regulation strategies. Finally, verification of the new model is preformed by comparing simulation results with recordings of a major power outage event occurred in Tuoketuo Power Plant on October 25, 2005.
