THE CONFIGURATION OF PMU BASED ON THE DETECTION THE DOMINANT EIGENVALUE

Paper analyses the importance of proper configuration of PMU in the system. A method based on the recogniton of the dominant eigenvalue is given. That is, after sampling the real time value, zero-input response of the system is got. The Prony algorithm is adopted to discern the dominant eigenvalue. Thus the optimal configuration of PMU can be pick out from the node set by the improved genetic algorithm(IGA) which means combination of the genetic algorithm with Tabu search method. Paper gives out the algorithm flow of IGA, and the New England 10 machine model is used to test the method based on PSS/E and Matlab.
