Error analysis and correction of non-rigid long cantilever coordinate measuring machine
In order to improve the measuring accuracy of the coordinate measuring machine with non-rigid structure, the stress condition, the correlative error sources of the CMM and their character were analyzed in detail. According to the feature that the zero positions of the three axes are not the same, the error correction model was built by using the homogeneous coordinate transforming matrix. Due to the Y indicating error having amplitude change and phase mutation in the different X position, the method to correct it by using the Y linear beating error was proposed and the model between two errors is built. The correcting result shows that the accuracy of the long cantilever CMM can be improved from 190um to 60um by using this error synthesis model.
