Software Techniques for Optimizing Measurement Time
In order to analyze the software factors impact on measurement time. This paper developed a performance benchmark for measurement time using a high-precision timer and standard set of typical instrument tasks. Through analyzing, it can be find that measurement time of test software can be optimized by following methods: calling the function before the real test was carried out; shielding mouse and keyboard respondence, and raising the test softwares priority to decrease the impacts brought by Windows. In NI DAQmx, We proposed the method of Dynamic Management of Task Handle to optimize the measurement time of test. Because the tests and methodologies referred in this paper are generally applicable, system designers can measure and control the factors required to optimize their system measurement time.
