The Development of a Natural Life Testing Apparatus for Small-Diameter Towing Cable

The responsibility of Towing Cable mainly depends on cable material 、joint and breaking force of each section .According to the technical target, the responsibility of Towing Cable bases on theoretical analysis and using experiments. The natural life obtained in this way has two deficiencies. Firstly, while analyzing irregular items with preload stress which brought by cold-draw, the theoretical analysis always obtain incorrect result. Secondly, the empirical value usually settles much larger safety factor, which shortens the natural life. Therefore, during research, experiments under actual environment should be taken to obtain the precise natural life of towing cable. Natural Life Testing Apparatus for Small-Diameter Towing Cable is designed to solve engineering problems. This article is about the designing train of the apparatus and how to use it.
