The Design and Simulation of the Variable Step-Size Adaptive Equalization Algorithm
The influence of step-size to the performance of the adaptive equalization algorithm is researched in this paper. If the step-size factor is big, algorithm convergence rate and track rate are fast but state residual error is bigger after convergence. In contrast, if the step-size factor is small, algorithm convergence rate and track rate is slow but state residual error is smaller after convergence. Therefore, the need of the convergence speed and convergence precision to the step-size is contrary if the fix step-size is adopted. The Sigmoid function of the mean square error and the non-linear function of error signal are adopted as the step-size control factor in this paper, and several improved algorithm are gotten. The computer simulation shows that the convergence rate of the algorithm is improved and the state residual error of the algorithm is decreased.
