The Applied Study of Fiber Sensor in Blood Flow Rate Testing System
The thesis focuses on the applied study of fiber sensor in blood flow rate testing system. Based on the Doppler effect and the principle of optical heterodyne detection, the research presents a system to test the blood flow rate that is composed of abstracting, processing and displaying of the blood flow signal. The lights from a laser are transmitted into optical fibers, part of which are reflected at the terminal of the optical fibers, the others get into the blood vessel, where lights scattering takes place due to erythrocytes moving and resulting in frequency shift. Then the lights go back through the original route and the two beams of lights are examined at the APD with output of electric signals that are sent to computer on slice (COS) 8051 for display after being processed. The system proved to be feasible after trying out.
