Cumulative-sum Method Based Straightness Assessment Using Monte Carlo Simulation
In straightness measurement, the result should include straightness and uncertainty. The paper proposes to extract the reference line using Cumulative-sum Method, and compute the straightness and the uncertainty using Monte-Carlo simulation. The computing principles and procedures are presented. Finally, an example illustrates the detailed procedures using the engineering software Crystal Ball. The results show that the method proposed has the uncertainty into consideration, and assessment results are more reasonable.
