Application of DSP to the Detection of Weak Signals Based on Chaos Theory

In this paper, Using DSP TMS320 VC549 realize the detection of underwater weak signals based on chaos theory. Through analyzing the intermittent chaos mechanism of Duffing oscillator, it was concluded that Duffing oscillator has two important characteristics of sensitivity to initial value and ergodicity1. According to these two characteristics of the chaos system, a detecting system based on chaos theory was proposed for extracting weak signals from the background of strong noise. Combined with the advantage of DSP, the thesis also further explores the design of a high speed signal processing system, which is used for the acquisition and digital processing of signals in order to achieve Runge-kutta algorithm.
