The Design of Programmable Test Unit Adapter Based on Signal Types
Test unit adapter (TUA) is an important component of automatic test system (ATS), especially in developing common automatic test system (CATS). A scheme of programmable test unit adapter (PTUA) is put forward, which can reduce the number of TUA in parallel automatic test system(PATS). Parallel test requirement of multiple UUTs (Unit-under-test) combinations will be met only through software configuration because of PTUA design in PATS, which not only can decrease the bulk and weight of PATS, but also cut down test settling time of changing different TUA in testing different UUT. The configuration software module has been designed according to Microsoft COM specification to be easily integrated in parallel test software based on software bus.
