Study on Recognition of Sub-health Based on LabVIEW and Pulse Signals

Sub-health is defined as a borderline state between health and diseases. The diagnosis of sub-health is still lacking of objective and quantitative index. In this paper, pulse diagnosis has been used to identify the sub-health. Firstly, pulse signals of 28 volunteers on radial artery were collected. Then the pulse signals were analyzed. The peak value and peak frequency of power spectrum were extracted. Moreover, Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) was successfully used to identify sub-health state from the pulse signals of 18 sub-healthy persons and 10 healthy persons. The recognition accuracy is up to 82.14% by using the method of leave one out. Finally, the LabVIEW was adopted to design the system of recognizing the sub-health. Using the method proposed in this paper the sub-health state can be simply identified, which suggests that the method could lead to an easy and effective diagnostic tool for sub-health.
