Design of the Military Automatic Test System with LXI Bus
With the fast development of the military weaponry research, the traditional bus technology can not meet the needs of the test and maintenance equipments in modern warfare. It is a common problem that the limited signal transmission distance of the GPIB and VXI and PXI bus is not suitable for long-distance distributed architecture in the military test system. With the appearance of the LXI (LAN-based eXtensions for Instrument) bus, it is inevitable that the test system adopting network technology will be the mainstream to replace the traditional bus technology. In this paper, the trends of the military test system integration are introduced at first. Then, the military automatic test system architecture with the LXI bus is proposed. The methods of the interface design with the embedded platform and the software development are explained. Furthermore, the whole design idea and general development framework of LXI bus military automatic test system are brought forward and essentials of the design are emphasized.
