The Research of RSSI Based Self-localization Algorithm for Self-healing Minefield

Self-healing minefields node self-localization is an interesting topic due to its relationship with goal-observing and network-rebuilding. We propose a scheme to perform localization, which based on estimation of signal strength received. In order to improve localization accuracy, we analyze the model of radio propagation environments channels in complex environment and propose a weighted centroid localization algorithm. It achieves lower computational and hardware cost and fewer communication consumption. The result of emulating shows it has higher accuracy than maximum likelihood estimation and can be applied to self-localization of minefield nodes.
