The Design of Communication between DSPs HPI and PC Parallel Port

As an interior interface component in the new generation DSP,HPI is mainly used in communication between DSP and other Bus or CPU. The paper introduced a concreted scheme of utilizing the EPP protocol and CPLD to realize high speed bi-directional parallel communication between DSPs Host Port Interface(HPI) and parallel interface of PC.On one hand,this scheme realizes the communication between HPI and Master-computer triumphantly ,on the other hand, it can load the program on-line directly and saves the hardware emulator,in addition,this design realizes data exchange between PC and DSP,also it has definite versatility.
