Preparation and Test of Ultra-fine HMX by Using Spray-Dynamic-Micellization Mixed Re-crystallization Process
Spray-Dynamic-Micellization Mixed Re-crystallization Process, a method to obtain ultra-fine HMX powder, is brought forward basing on the theory of mecellization, crystallography and hydrodynamics. This method try to turn the fluid flow into micelles so that to improve the effect and efficiency of micro-mixing. It was proved through experimental and ultra-fine HMX explosive whose Median diameter D50 is 0.50μm, the volume surface area Sv is 21.217 m2/c.c. The appearance of product was characterized. There are four factors influencing on the process, thereinto the anti-solvent jet pressure is the most important reason working for preparing sub-micron HMX. This paper also explains the four elements how to impact on this process in theory. The product was measured by the impact sensitivity experiment. It shows that the smaller the particle size, the lower the impact sensitivity.
