Evaluation Method for Digital Integrated Circuit Design
A hardware and software co-evaluation method is addressed in this paper. The method is used for checking competition phenomenon of digital integrated circuit during IC design. To check competition phenomenon in design process of digital IC, simulation and evaluation are very useful methodology. In this case, the signal frequency is not important and the aim of simulation and evaluation is to find out if there are some competition phenomena under the condition of normal parameters. The simulation is used for delay detection and evaluation method is designed for the digital integrated circuit under design. The evaluation circuits design is based on simulation result and the devices used in the evaluation circuit. The conditions should be considered in the design of evaluation circuit include fabrication technology and signal frequency. In the design of evaluation circuit, the ratio of edge/Tsignal is an important factor for the selection of evaluation frequency.
