Noninvasive Temperature Estimation Using Ultrasound Based on Frequency-Shift
A noninvasive technique for monitoring tissue temperature changes due to heating fields using ultrasound is described in this paper. The approach is based on the discrete scattering model used in the tissue characterization literature and the observation that most biological tissue is semi-regular scattering lattices. At the frequency- shift aspect, we use digital signal process and computational program design to achieve Autoregressive Power Spectrum Density (AR-PSD) algorithm of ultrasound echo. By analyzing reflected signal based on back-scattered frequency shift model, we can obtain the minimal frequency-shift and acquire information related with temperature to estimate the change of the temperature.
