Study on the application of sound-measure technology in artillery reconnaissance

When artillery firing and exploding, the produced waves is mainly infrasound (its frequency is lower than 20 Hertz) and waves whose frequency is about 20 Hertz. Because a wave is free from the conditional like visibility, electromagnetic wave, and so on. In addition, the wavelength of infrasound is longer, so infrasound has strong ability of rounding objects, its energy reduces slowly when spreading in atmosphere. Therefore, infrasound can spread faraway. Reconnaissance depending on the sound-measure technology is very suitable for the artillery to reconnaissance and surveillance enemys artillery on concealed position and missile position on mid-distance or long-distance. This thesis studies the principle of sound-measure technology and artillerys sound-measure reconnaissance. Then, it analyses the waves produced when artillery fires, such as firing wave, ballistic wave and exploding wave etc, besides, analyses the principle of its working process. It also analyses the advantages and disadvantages of artillerys sound-measure reconnaissance, and the purpose and occasion of applying. In the end, this thesis discusses artillerys sound-measure reconnaissance status in quo, and its developing trend in the future.
