Research on UWB Effects and Electromagnetic Protection Methods of SCR Circuit

In order to verify the validity of UWB(Ultra Wide Band) EMP(Electromagnetic Pulse ) protection methods for the SCR circuit of specified numeric circuit, UWB EMP radiation test has been done for unprotected circuit and multi-protected SCR circuit. Then test data are compared each other and analyzed. This test indicates that the SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) in un-protected circuit is easy to turn on, which leads to the exploding of EED. The reason for the mistakenly turning on of SCR is that the fluctuating rate of the coupling voltage in the SCR anode-cathode exceeds the important parameter dv/dt of SCR. The anti-interference ability of the circuit which has the simply protection method improves greatly. When the integrated protection method has been put into practice, the SCR in circuit never mistakenly turns on. At the same time the integrated protection method doesnt change the normal characteristic of SCR circuit. The protection methods used for SCR circuit can be reference for system level circuit protection of this numeric circuit.
