A Compound Multipurpose Blind Watermarking Algorithm
This paper presents a compound watermarking algorithm combined the visible watermark with the invisible watermark, with better dual protection capability, I.e. Copyright notification by visible watermark and copyright protection by invisible watermark. Firstly, the visible watermark is adaptively embedded into spatial domain based on the characteristics of normalized block variances. Next, embed the invisible watermark in the intermediate frequency of DCT of the original image. Experimental results show that the method has good invisibility, and is robust against normal image processing and kinds of attacks, for example JPEG compression, filtering, adding noise, rotating, zooming. And can credibly determine which kind of tampering and detect the location of any minute changes in images. At last, being a blind watermarking algorithm has good security.
