A Date Simplification for Triangulated Surface Based on the Multi-linear Constructed Lights Measurement System
In order to get higher measuring efficiency and scope in reverse engineering, the multi-linear constructed lights measurement system is applied. It collects abounding data. This paper presets one amplification approach for triangulating surface to compress the data. It removes the points self-adaptively fitting for permitted error tolerance. And it re-triangulates the surface with the optimal triangles to avoid rebuilding error. An experiment on a toy-car is also given. The number of the points can be reduced to 5% of the original when the maximum error is 0.05 mm, and the surface error is steady.
