Method of image recognition based on Genetic programming

The genetic programming is evolutionary algorithms which simulate the nature evolution procedures. It can be applied widely in optimal calculation, search and artificial intelligence. In view of the image recognition domain, the template matching technique is confronted with large computational quantity and memory quantity in image recognition. The method of image recognition based on genetic programming was proposed. Firstly, the image template was managed discretely, and the image recognition was translated into combination optimization of these discrete points; then by means of the effective optimization of genetic programming, combination optimization of the control points and searching the optimum values were made to match the control point with template. The results of the simulation experiment showed that this method was more effective and practical than the traditional method.
