A Splice Method of Artillery Inner-chamber Flaw Images Based on Phase Correlation and Log-polar Coordinate Mapping

Aiming at the practical situations of artillery inner-chamber flaw images such as low grey scale difference, many repeated features, exist displacement and rotation, etc., an image splice method based on phase correlation and log-polar coordinate mapping is presented in this paper. Firstly, the collected images would be pretreated to improve their qualities; Secondly, each image would be transformed from the Cartesian coordinate space to the log-polar coordinate space using the characters of the log-polar coordinate mapping, then the globally optimal solution of movement parameters between images would be estimated using phase correlation method; Finally, the images would be spliced into an integral image after image blending. Experiment results shows that ideal splice effect can be got using this method.
