Comparing Hilbert-Huang Transform With the Wavelet Transform for Image Denoising
This paper pays special attention to the 2-Dimension decomposition theory and method of Hilbert-Huang Transform and its application in Image Denoising. The new method not only can get better joint time-frequency resolution than other methods like STFT, Wavelet, and Wigner-ville distribution, but also is adaptive for decomposing complicated data set into a finite number of Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs).
