Research of Fingerprint Identification System based on MBF200

To aim at characteristics of MBF200 fingerprint images, the preprocessing scheme based on gray balance is proposed firstly. In aspect of the fingerprint segmentation, the introduction of gray balance is adapted to ascertaining threshold value of the segmentation. In other aspect of central point location, the algorithm of block vertical cumulation based on orientation field is improved. Reference by changeable limit boundary box thought, this paper proposes the linearity grade of changeable boundary box method, which is applied to pattern matching of the fingerprint identification system. For verifying the validity of system, this paper adopts the MBF200 fingerprint collection instrument, which is designed by this lab, and test these fingerprint images. The experimental results show that the fingerprint identification system is effective.
