A Novel FH Communication System Based on OFDM: the Framework and Implementation

To solve some limitations in the traditional FH communication system, such as the narrow modulation band, a novel FH modulation communication system is presented based on the technique of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). Via the effective combination of the advantage of OFDM and FH, high transmitting speed and multi-address extension can be achieved for wideband wireless data communication. The paper also proposes a concrete high speed DSP implementation of the new FH system. The novel system just needs a little alteration to traditional FH systems, and can easily be implemented by hardware. It will fundamentally fit the demand of modern military wireless communication such as single soldier, squad or platoon tactics wireless communication system.
