A Digital Watermarking Technique Based on Discrete Wavelet Transform

Having organically combined the features of human visual system with the characteristics of multi-resolution decomposition of digital images, this paper has studied a digital watermarking algorithm based on discrete wavelet transform, which meets the requirements of imperceptibility of watermarking embedded and robustness of watermarking extracted. The watermarking image is embedded into the original image by means of discrete wavelet transform and its inverse transform. The watermarking image embedded is extracted from the original image and the original image including the watermarking image by means of discrete wavelet transform, and is constructed by inverse discrete wavelet transform. The research results have shown that the embedding and extracting algorisms of digital watermarking images are effective and feasible.
