Infrared Image Processing Method Based on Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform
An advanced method for infrared image according to the existed NSCT denoising and enhancement algorithm had been formulated. Firstly, this method performed a logarithmic transform to convert the multiplicative speckle noise into additive noise, and then perform the nonsubsampled contourlet transform. We classified the coefficients to three types according to the mean value, then modified the coefficients via the threshold predefined. The results show that this method not only can eliminate the noise, but can enhance the contours of infrared image effectively, and obtaining better visual result and higher PSNR over other methods.
