Tracking Point Inconsistency Correction of Ranging Based on Range Aligning Technology of Radar Wide-Band Imaging

When ground instrumentation radars are tracking large space targets reflectively, big random error will be brought into ranging which can cause the decline of data quality. A method which can correct tracking point inconsistency error by means of range aligning technology of ISAR imaging has been brought forward and fully discussed. The paper analyzes the feasibility of this method in theory and utilizes actual radar tracking data of satellite to verify its correctness. Calculation results show that this method can effectively reduce random error of ranging and improve the confidence of radar accuracy evaluation.
