Design of a Real-time Image Sampling System Based on PCI and DSP

This image capturing system consists of two modules: the image capturing module and the image processing module. The image acquisition module which is in charge of acquiring image, is mainly composed of the image sensor MT9T001.While the image processing module, in charge of pre-treatment of the image and transmitting data to computer, is composed of the DSP core processor TM320C6205 with its memory and interface chips. The image has been pretreated by DSP before being inputted into computer. This provides opportunities for significantly reducing the work load of the computers CPU, thus deceasing the occupation rate of CPU and achieving high speed and high flexibility of the video image capturing system.
