A Novel Implementation to Linearly Constrained Minimum Variance Filter Based on Chebyshev Iteration
The linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) filter has been widely used in many aspects of signal processing. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for adaptive LCMV filter based on Chebyshev approximation, which significantly outper-forms recursive least square (RLS) approach with almost the same complexity. This is demonstrated by a computer experiment for blind multiuser detection in Direct-sequence Code-division Multiple-access (DS/CDMA) systems. Computer simulation results show that this new algorithm has faster convergence and much better performance than RLS algorithm.
