Research on Embedded Zerotree Wavelet Algorithm Which Based on Wavelet Transform
This paper introduces the application of wavelet theory in the Image compression and Embedded Zerotree Wavelet (EZW) algorithm. It explains the implementation of an Embedded Zerotree Wavelet encoder and decoder. On the basic of theory research, we present the simulation of the Embedded Zerotree Wavelet coding and decoding process on different Bpps, where the wavelet transform works with Daubechies filter on account of its multiresolution characteristic, entropy coding works with Huffman coding since its high coding efficiency . According to user s different request to image quality, the encoding on suitable Bpp could be chose to apply in different fields. Experiment results show the performance indexes like consumed time, PSNR, decoded images and etc.
