Reserch on Radar Target Detection by Using Non-Magnetized Plasma Slab
According to the electromagnetism transmission theory in plasma, two different basic theories for plasma stealth are showed, one is refraction, the other is absorption attenuation. the plasma model of geometry average slab with metal underlay is build up. For different plasma density profiles ,the electromagnetic wave were discussed numerically by Matlab. According to the calculation, by optimizing the collision frequency and the density of non-magnetized plasma, More than 90% of radar wave power can be absorbed and the resonant absorption bandwidth(nearly to 2GHz ) is discoverd ; the collision frequency and density of plasma also have a great effect on the targets RCS(radar cross section), and that the un-magnetized plasma seriously affects the performance of radar detection. In conclusion, this investigation can provide a basis for design of radar absorbing material and radar target detection.
