Improvement of Correlation Receiving in Pseudo-random Code CW Radar
Multi-channel correlators are widely used in conventional ranging systems of pseudo-random code CW (PRC-CW) radar, which makes the circuit of the ranging system complicated. This paper proposes a method to improve correlation receiving in ranging system of PRC-CW radar by replacing multi-channel correlation with convolution. In this paper, the ranging principle of the PRC-CW radar with multi-channel correlators and the principle of the method are illustrated. And this method is verified by simulation signal and real signal. It will be very valuable for it can simplify the circuit of radar receiver and increase its stability.
