Experimental Study of Fast Measuring Moisture Content of Coal by Microwave

Experimental study of fast measuring moisture content of coal by microwave is made. Measurement experiment was respectively carried out by microwave moisture instruments with both surface wave inserted-type probe and reflected-type probe, using Pingshuo raw coal as measured object. For the inserted-type, The experimental results indicate that the measured value increases with increasing insertion depth and decreases with enlarging coal sample diameter; and coal sample thickness has little influence on measurement. For the reflected-type, the measured value decreases with increasing distance between coal sample and probe, decreases with enlarging coal sample diameter, and increase with increasing coal sample area; and coal sample thickness has also little influence on measurement.
