MAP Signaling Data Acquisition and Analysis for Mobile Networks

Map signaling is the control signal between the mobile service centers (MSCs). By analyzing the MAP signaling, we can get the operation performance of networks and locate the equipment failure. The way to design the system acquiring mobile signaling data and extracting the signaling data from other signal is presented in the paper. Then, how to queue the online signaling data in computers virtual buffer is discussed in the paper. We propose a three level buffer structure with first level for bit flow buffer, second level for channel data elementary handling and third level for multi channel data ordering buffer. After three level buffering, the signaling data is ready for the below analysis. Every MAP message include many information signal unit with many networks parameters. The parameters are modularized in the information unit. The algorithm of decoding the signaling date according the protocol definition and extracting the performance parameter form the signaling message are designed for the MAP signaling analysis. The MAP data acquiring system and protocol analysis method are effective and feasible in the practice.
