Data Acquisition in Virtual Instruments System Based on LabVIEW and SQL Server
Virtual Instruments system has become to a main way to design complex detection system, and LabVIEW has become to a standard application programming software. Aiming at unprofessional operator is unfamiliar with the test performance of tested objects and improving the efficiency of test work, this paper describes a feasible way to realize acquisition facilely and reliably in virtual instruments system. Author programmed in labVIEW, two available methods of connecting to the SQL database by LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolset (ODBC uses Data Source Name (DSN) for the connection and ADO uses Universal Data Links (UDL) for the connection) have been highly concerned. Data exchange between LabVIEW and SQL Server is realized, program read the acquisition parameters from the SQL Server database then configured them to data acquisition subVI. In addition, Rendezvous execution control technic be introduced.
