A High-speed Serial Correlator for PRBPM Radio Fuze
A high-speed serial digital correlator based on field programmable gate array (FPGA) is presented in this paper to meet the requirements of pseudo-random noise code phase modulated (PRBPM) radio fuze. The discrete autocorrelation model for PRBPM radio fuze is established. Software design of the parallel and serial schemes are studied and compared on the ISE platform, which confirm that the proposed serial correlator can improve the speed of correlation calculation and reduce the complexity of correlator. FPGA implementation of the serial correlator is researched. And the simulation results of serial correlator on ModelSim software platform indicate that the principle of the method is correct and it performs well for PRBPM radio fuze.
