The Method to Constitute High Speed Data Gathering Systems Using ADSP2106X

Many fields such as communication, instrument, video and image treatment, radar and sonar need to use high speed data gathering.To constitute a high speed data gathering system,not only high speed A/D converters and memory are needed, but also some special control methods are needed to be adopted to transmit and store the gathered data speedly. After analysing the characteristics of existing data gathering systems, the idea for constitute a high speed data gathering system using ADSP2106X is put forward. Based on analysing in depth of the structure and function of ADSP2106X and the work modes and application characteristics of its external port DMA channels, two methods to constitute a high speed data gathering system using the host mode and shake hands mode of its external port DMA channels are expounded, these methods have good reference value for designing high speed data gathering systems.
