The Numerical Simulation on Hypervelocity Fragment Impacting to Space Target
Space targets include military satellites and space weapons. Satellites are important in modern information war. Space weapon will be perhaps used in future war. It is significant to research damage ability of kinetic energy fragment to beat the shield structure of space target. Non-Linear Dynamic Analysis method is utilized to study hypervelocity fragment impacting on structure. Effects of fragment shape, mass, impact velocity and angle to its damage ability are studied. The results are available to the fragment design as reference.
