Virtual Measurement of Firing Accuracy of Guns and Optimization with GRG Method
Conventional design and analysis of gun system involve three assumptions. Virtual prototyping technology has presented a new approach to study and analyze dynamic characteristics of gun system based on multibody dynamics. With establishing dynamic model of gun system, we systematically studied the effects of structural parameters on firing accuracy. An improved expression of sensitivity analysis is provided, and the important degrees of factors with different dimensions that influence firing accuracy of gun are compared. Furthermore, a set of matched structure parameters to meet optimal design are obtained, and the optimal results achieved by GRG method suggest the superiority and flexibility of virtual prototyping technology.
