Study on External Quality Inspection of Peach Based on Machine Vision Technology

This paper studied the inspection system of peach external quality based on machine vision. The constitution and the structural representation of the inspection system were described. In the process of size inspection, the centroid coordinates of the peach shape can be calculated according to the information of its boundary. In the process of shape inspection, the feature of the peach external shape was described exactly based on the theory of Fourier transform. In the process of detection of surface defects, the methods of SAFC and FWDT were adopted to effectively achieve the correct inspection and classification of the defect area on peach surface. The experimental result proved that the system has a high accuracy of measurement, little mount of calculation and a good security in the inspection including size, shape and defects, and on the basis of the data peaches can be classified in a high accuracy.
