Research on Virtual Combat and Drill Environment for Troop
Over a long period of time, Troops combat mostly has been simulated by means of traditional live firing, which not only consumes a mass of funds and supplies, but also stays poor in security. Moreover, the drill results are hardly evaluated duly and accurately owing to the restrictions of environment and instruments. With the development of computer technology, especially the continuous application of virtual reality technology in the military field, military trainings in concept and method have been improved greatly,In this paper two 3D model databases of virtual small-arms shooting range and virtual city block are firstly built for individual soldiers combat and drill, besides, the 3D visualization of individual soldiers tactical actions in virtual scene is primarily realized by DI-Guy virtual human. Lastly, a prototyping framework of scenario system is presented for individual soldiers combat and drill.
